The Antibiotic Stewardship Program at New England Life Care is a physician led, multi disciplinary team that ensures each and every patient that comes on service requiring antibiotic infusion treatment receives individualized care. As a patient on service with New England Life Care, you can expect your antibiotic infusion treatment plan to be monitored routinely by a licensed Pharmacist and tailored to meet your individual requirements. We treat you and handle your treatment plan with the same care and compassion as we would for a member of our own family.
The Antibiotic Stewardship Program consists of several of New England Life Care’s top pharmacists from Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire and Dr. Steven LaRosa, M.D., our medical director specializing in infectious disease therapies. The team will evaluate your treatment plan, and when appropriate, recommend treatment alternatives designed to reduce risk, reduce cost, and improve overall patient outcomes. We take into consideration all aspects involved in the treatment plan, including medical history, patient and caregiver ability, drug stability, dose frequency, and anticipated daily activities. At New England Life Care, our Antibiotic Stewardship Program’s team will collaborate with your provider and work to facilitate any changes needed to get you healthy again as quickly and efficiently as possible.
